The Story of the Silver Cloud.

Born in 1959, our Silver Cloud 1 is the last of the post-war engines and a Great British Classic. If you asked someone to draw you a Rolls Royce, they’d produce a sketch of a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. The Cloud was the last in a line of traditionally built and unmistakably styled Rolls Royce’s.

In 1955 Rolls-Royce launched the Silver Cloud as their core model and it replaced the aging Silver Dawn. Like its predecessor, the Silver Cloud was built on a box-steel chassis allowing customers to order custom-tailored bodies like the rare cabriolets made by H.J. Mulliner. The press did not skimp on praise and called the Silver Cloud "The Most Beautiful Car Ever Built."

The Silver Cloud we have to show was manufactured in 1959. This meant that it was the very last Silver Cloud 1 ever to be produced and therefore, the last of the post-war 4877cc six cylinder cars made by Rolls Royce.

The car is two toned with sand over sable, with chrome/painted hub caps and a red stripe trim. The interior is richly finished in walnut veneer and Connolly leather.
